SEO settings for SiteBuilder / ShopBuilder Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine’s unpaid search results. Sometimes this is referred to as “natural” or “organic” traffic. The better your site’s SEO, the more likely it is to rank well in search results.
Improve your site’s visibility to search engines and boost organic traffic by populating the site’s SEO fields. This makes it easier for search engines to know what your site is about so they can rank higher on the search results pages (SERPs).
To edit your entire site’s SEO:
In the left panel, click “Settings” and then click “SEO”. You have the following options:
Title of the site. This is displayed by search engines in their preview of your site. It is important for both SEO and social sharing. Try to limit this to 60 characters. Description of the site. Provide an overview of the content and information the site offers. Search engines use this as a description of the site. Try to limit it to 160 characters. Tip: It is recommended to have a unique title and description for each page of your site. Therefore, we recommend entering the title and description of your page individually in the Page Settings menu. Site Keywords. These are terms related to your site (for example, pizza delivery, for a pizzeria). Separate the keywords with a comma. Note: Search engines no longer use keywords to influence the rating of websites. All use of keywords should be considered optional. Title of the site This is the most important tag for your site SEO. This tag tells people and search engines what your page is about. The title of the site appears in the title bar of the web browser and in the results of the search engines.
The title tag should contain important keywords to help search engines determine what your page is about. Also, people will read the title of the site when deciding whether or not to click on a search result, so make sure it’s people-friendly.

Description of the site The site’s description can be used by search engines when they display your site’s content on their results page. So, while this field is not important for search engine rankings, it is very important for convincing users to click through to the site.
This description is your chance to present the content of the site to people and let them know exactly if your page contains the information they are looking for. Create a concise and compelling description that people will want to click on.

Keywords for the site Major search engines do not use keywords to determine the position of your site. In fact, on Bing.com, your site can be penalized for having too “spammy” keywords. However, some smaller free directories and search engines may still use them to help categorize sites. The use of all keywords should be considered optional.
Lazy Loading and fonts Lazy loading of images and widgets improves page speed by loading images and widgets as they become visible on the screen. You can also enable an option to display default fonts from the system, so visitors can start reading right away while the site’s fonts are loading.
To enable lazy loading and fonts, click the “Lazy loading of images & widgets” and “Show system default fonts while custom fonts are loaded” buttons.
